COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is really about you. It’s about giving you the tools to overcome self-criticism, self-doubt, and negative emotions, and to find greater peace, happiness, and acceptance. It’s about revealing you to yourself, and actually liking what you see.
Right now, if I made you sit down and write a list of all your positive qualities, you could probably do it. But you might have a hard time really believing what you wrote down. Or your mind would say, “Yeah, but…,” and come up with a longer list of negatives. You may feel stuck, or worthless, or unlovable, or that you just can’t stop the negativity toward yourself. Ironically, you might even feel guilty about not being as kind to yourself as you should be.
It’s not actually your fault that your mind produces these self-critical thoughts; it’s part of our default wiring as humans. It’s basically the brain overreacting to perceived threats to our self-concept. You may be more susceptible to this due to your biology and your life history. But you don’t have to settle for what your brain has given you to this point. You can absolutely shift your brain’s default operating mode from self-criticism to self-kindness, and this can be a life-changing transformation.
To be honest, the stakes are high. It’s the difference between a life of struggle--where you never become who you were meant to be, and a life where you treat yourself with respect and compassion--where you achieve more than you ever imagined.
This course is a proven roadmap to get you there, and it’s my privilege to be your guide on this journey. You’ll get the content, support, and evidence-based practices to “rewire” your brain for self-compassion. This isn’t a magic wand; you have to do the work. In fact, you have to be committed to devoting at least 20 minutes a day to these practices. But it’s worth it. It’s time to turn down the volume on that critical inner voice so you can live with more calm, confidence, and authenticity. Are you ready?

Participant Testimonials
Just a few comments from recent participants:
"Wonderful and life-changing. Thank you for this! I will be carrying the information and practice forward through the rest of my life. I am amazed this is a skill I had not been taught to develop at all and how deeply useful it has been in creating internal change and gentleness which makes the rest of my life and endeavors more effective and enjoyable."
"I want you to know what a huge impact this has had on my life. Not only am I becoming better at being more gentle with myself, but it's getting easier to be more loving with those around me. And being loving and compassionate with others is one of my strengths, actually. So that has been surprising to me! But it's really becoming ingrained and I'm very happy about that!"
"Thank you for providing a platform with a variety of strategies that all work towards improving self compassion. I was excited each day to try a new strategy or learn something new. I have continued some of these practices and have read multiple books about self-compassion and self-development since. This was the perfect tool and opportunity to inspire me to continue to grow and give myself grace while doing so."
"Thank you. This helped me recognize how I am treating myself poorly and I learned to recognize what situations I find myself in where I need to improve. And most importantly, you gave me the motivation to continue this on my own and you helped me see benefits I can have in my life by practicing self-compassion. Thank you for enabling me to improve my self-confidence and every aspect of my life."
"This was extremely beneficial for me. It helped the most with my relationship with my spouse. It has helped me to remain calm during difficult times by naming my emotions, accepting them, and letting them go. I was so excited about everything I was learning that I was able to teach others about self compassion and some of the strategies. I have noticed a major difference in how forgiving I am to myself and that has definitely shortened the amount of time that I feel emotional pain."
"It was fabulous! I didn't think something so simple could change so much and I really intend to keep going with it."
"I just have to say I was a little skeptical when I began this. I tend to be very confident in my abilities but also very critical of myself in other areas. I kind of thought it would be a 'self-confidence' booster through self compassion so I didn't know how helpful it would be for me in the long run. I have been practicing diligently (especially when i know stressful situations are coming up) and I have felt a VERY noticeable difference. It has helped me through some of the biggest life changes (graduating graduate school, taking boards, job interviews and job offers) with little to no anxiety, which is VERY unusual to me. Thank you so much for the opportunity to participate and for giving me those tools!"
"I'm so appreciative to have had this opportunity! Thanks, you all. This is THE work the world needs to be done."
"All the info was super helpful! I want everyone to take this course. I think from now on I will be able to practice more compassion--to myself and to others."
"Even just being aware about the idea of being self-compassionate made my inner self-critic calm down a little, and it has been a really eye opening experience practicing being kind to myself these last several weeks and learning that I actually can keep progressing without being so hard on myself. It was such a needed perspective change and I'm grateful for being introduced to it! So thanks for what you're doing!"
"Practicing self-compassion has given my inner critic a well deserved, more realistic perspective. It has made me more attuned to the suffering of others. I am WAAAY more patient with my children when they suffer, even if the cause of their suffering is really trivial (i.e. I can't find my shoe and it's the end of the world!!). I am kinder to myself and kinder to others."
